Never open last week's quote again.

What do you send most?

The examples on this page follow your pick.

Keep the Word file you already use and mark the parts that change, once. From then on, a new one takes a short form and a click. Docplet makes the PDF, emails it from your own address and files a copy where it belongs.

Docplet isn't open yet. This is what it'll do for you when it is.

Twelve steps, every time. You'd keep two.

This is what sending one document by hand looks like. About four minutes, if nothing goes wrong.

By hand

  1. 1Open last week's quote
  2. 2Save a copy under a new name
  3. 3Replace the old client's name
  4. 4Find it again in the footer
  5. 5Change the amount
  6. 6Change the date
  7. 7Export to PDF
  8. 8Rename the PDF
  9. 9Open your email and attach it
  10. 10Write the same email as last time
  11. 11Send it
  12. 12Drag a copy into the client's folder

With Docplet

  1. 1Fill in the form
  2. 2Press send

The PDF, the email, the filing and the record happen the same way every time, while you get on with something else.

Stop rereading every line before you hit send

When every new document starts as a copy of the last one, the last client is always hiding somewhere. In the footer, in paragraph three, in the name of the file you attached.

Docplet starts every document from your clean template and fills in only the blanks you marked. There is nothing old left in it to find.

Acme Corp

Thanks for choosing us for the spring catalogue. As we discussed with the team at Brightline Ltd, the fee below covers design, two rounds of changes and print-ready files.

  1. 1The old attachment. Again.
  2. 2Last client's name, still in paragraph three.
  3. 3Last year's rate.

Set it up once. After that, it's a form.

  1. 1

    Mark what changes

Open the document you already send. Wherever a detail changes, type a placeholder like {{CLIENT_NAME}}. Everything else stays exactly as you wrote it.

  2. 2

Upload it. The form builds itself.

Docplet reads your placeholders and turns each one into a labeled field. You don't design a form. Your document already is one.

If you can type {{CLIENT_NAME}} into a Word document, you can set this up. No plugins, no macros, no code.

Then it's handled, and you can prove it

A PDF nobody receives is just a file. Docplet sends it, files it and keeps a record, so "did that go out?" takes five seconds to answer.

It comes from you
Your client gets an email from your own address with the PDF attached under a proper name. Not a no-reply address they've never seen.
It lands in the right folder
A copy goes to the Google Drive or Dropbox folder you picked, one folder per client if you like.
Your other tools hear about it
Through Zapier or a webhook, your CRM or accounting app gets the record without anyone retyping it.
Nothing fails quietly
A failed send retries on its own. If it still can't get through, you see why and re-send with one click.

Docplet asks Google for permission to send mail and save files. It never asks to read your inbox.

The fine print, in large print

  • We don't touch your wording.

No AI writes or rephrases your documents. The PDF is your document with the blanks filled in, fonts, tables and logo included.

  • We don't read your documents.

Nobody here opens them, and they never train an AI model. Delete a template and its contents go with it.

  • We can't read your inbox.

Docplet can send mail as you. It never asks Google for permission to read it, and you can revoke access from your Google account whenever you like.

  • We don't do signatures.

Docplet gets the contract to your client. Signing stays with DocuSign or whatever you use now.

Start with the one you send most. Free.

A document that fails doesn't count against your plan, and neither does trying again.

Fair questions

Something else on your mind? [email protected]

Isn't this just mail merge?

Mail merge fills in a document and stops. It doesn't make a clean PDF, email it from your address, file it, retry a failed send, or tell you six weeks later whether the client got it. Docplet does all of that after the fill-in.

Mail merge and Docplet, side by side
Will my tables, logo and page numbers come through?

Yes. Docplet works on your own .docx and changes only the placeholders you marked. Tables, headers and footers, page numbers, logos and multi-page layouts come out the way you built them.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You need to be able to type {{CLIENT_NAME}} into a Word document. Everything else happens on a web page that works like webmail.

What will it cost?

There's a free plan with one template and 10 documents a month. Solo is $29 a month for 200 documents, and Business is $79 for 2,000. Paying yearly saves two months on either.

All the plans
What does Docplet need from my Google account?

Permission to send mail as you and to save files to Drive. Never to read your inbox. You can disconnect it from Docplet or from your Google account at any time.

When does it open?

When it's ready, and there's no date yet.

Want to hear the day it opens?

There's no sign-up form yet. Send a one-line email and you'll hear from us when Docplet opens. Mention what you send while you're at it, because that decides what gets built next.
